This tattoo on my forearm is not only a direct quote from my favourite book, Into The Wild by John Krakauer, but it also rings very true to me.
It’s a reminder to myself.
Many times when I’ve been hurting and hating on the world I would isolate myself from people who love and care for me.
I use to go and do things by myself, which most people should never do alone. Things that usually made me happy and I always kind of wondered why I wasn’t happy doing them anymore.
Then after reading the words ‘Happiness only real when shared’ it struck a cord inside me, and it’s been my favourite quote since.

This is my tattoo about 2 hours after it was done. It’s about a week old currently and I absolutely love it! It’s my first tattoo, and took around 4 and a half hours (I feel brave). It was done by Tom Wells of Seventh Day in Derby, UK.
I think it’s great for my first tattoo, and I’m so glad I got it done and can’t wait to get the other side of my arm done by Tom :)
This is my own reminder that I am free and I need to free myself from the things that hurt me, and that no one can tell me how to live my life, for it is mine and no one else’s.
